Field Application Specialist | GC / GC-MS
We are supporting a global analytical instrumentation and laboratory solutions company with the hire of a Field Application Specialist focused on GC and GC-MS.
This is a customer-facing applications role supporting sales, demonstrations, training and technical problem-solving across the DACH region.
The role would suit someone who enjoys being close to both the science and the customer, helping laboratories configure the right solution, run effective demonstrations, troubleshoot application challenges and support successful adoption of GC technologies.
You’ll be working across:
➖ GC and GC-MS applications
➖ Headspace GC / GC-MS
➖ Thermal desorption GC / GC-MS
➖ Customer demonstrations and method support
➖ Technical training for customers, sales and service teams
➖ Pre-sales support, tenders and solution configuration
➖ Application troubleshooting alongside field service teams
The ideal background would be someone with strong practical experience in GC, GC-MS and sample introduction techniques, ideally including headspace and/or thermal desorption.
Previous customer-facing experience would be desirable but not essential. This could suit someone already in an FAS, applications, product specialist or technical support role, but also someone from a strong hands-on laboratory background who is looking to move into a more external, application-focused position.
You’ll need to be comfortable in a customer-facing role, able to communicate technical concepts clearly, and fluent in German and English.
